Imperfect Match es un stand-alone y está disponible en inglés en Kindle Unlimited. Si algo tenéis que saber sobre mí es que soy muy débil con las historias románticas. Principalmente me pierde la romántica paranormal, pero la contemporánea calienta mi corazoncito también. Este libro entra en la última categoría.

La madre de Willow se quiere jubilar y vender su negocio de "matchmaking" llamada My Heart's Desire. En ella, se dedican a comparar los perfiles de diferentes personas y a hacer de casamenteros. Pero Willow no quiere que todo el negocio que tanto le costó montar a su madre desaparezca, además de que es el único trabajo que tiene. Por desgracia, no tiene el mismo don de acertar con las parejas como ella y su excéntrica hermana no es la más adecuada para continuar un proyecto así.

En un último intento desesperado de convencer a su madre para que le deje el negocio y no lo venda, se compromete a buscarle en menos de seis meses una pareja a Reid, su mejor amigo. Porque, si consigue eso, no habrá ninguna otra pareja que no pueda juntar.

Reid tiene bastante claro lo que quiere en la vida: sobrevivir a la convivencia con su hermano pequeño, el cual se coló en su piso y no tiene aspecto de querer irse; seguir en su trabajo tan bien como hasta ahora; no volver a tener contacto con el resto de su familia y, sobre todo, no tener ninguna relación con compromisos.

Willow, en cambio, sueña con tener una familia propia, pero no ha tenido ninguna suerte en el amor y por eso mismo ha decidido ser madre soltera con la ayuda de una clínica. 

Según avanza la historia vamos conociendo a los dos protagonistas y qué es lo que les mueve. Reid, por ejemplo, tiene unos prejuicios bastante insanos respecto a las inseminaciones que no he llegado a entender, la verdad. Tiene una evolución que se agradece un montón, aunque tarde en llegar. Ha habido momentos en los que he querido meterme en el libro y cruzarle la cara por estúpido. Comprendo cómo ha llegado a ser así, pero eso no hace que le tenga mucho más aprecio durante parte de la historia.

Willow, en cambio, me ha recordado mucho a mí y ha sido un poco como ver a mi yo del futuro. Tiene un plan bien claro y hace lo que cree que es necesario para llegar a donde quiere, aunque tenga que romper su propio corazón en el proceso. Me ha gustado mucho como protagonista.

He de añadir que los hermanos de cada uno son una parte vital de la trama y a veces me han parecido incluso mejores que Reid y Willow. La hermana de ella está como una auténtica regadera y no he podido evitar reírme con sus ocurrencias.

Como conclusión: Imperfect Match es una historia del mismo estilo que las películas americanas de domingo que uno ve para disfrutar de un rato tranquilo y sin querer comerse la cabeza, donde es bastante obvio qué va a ocurrir. Me ha hecho reír y disfrutar, así que su intención se ha cumplido. Si queréis entreteneros una tarde, os la recomiendo como lectura ligera, pero no busquéis tampoco mucha profundidad en ella.
